Questions?
- What type of community is Fredericka Manor?
Fredericka Manor is a non-profit, multi-level care retirement community designed for active seniors age 60 and over. It is fully licensed by the California Department of Social Services and accredited by the national Continuing Care Accreditation Commission, which means that the program and staff have passed rigorous standards of excellence.
- Do you have accommodations other than apartments?
Yes. We have lovely garden homes (many with garages) and a selection of charming cottages.
- Are there any off-campus activities or excursions?
Absolutely. We have many regularly scheduled outings, and our bus service is always free.
- How many levels of care do you offer?
We offer four care lifestyles: independent living, assisted living, Medicare-certified skilled nursing, and Alzheimer’s care.
- Do you offer any kind of emergency assistance?
Yes. We are very proud to offer our residents “hands-on” medical response, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
- What’s your food REALLY like?
Our executive chef has worked at Maxim’s in Paris, The Dorchester Hotel in London, and the Hotel Del Coronado. But he often prefers to serve comfort foods. And of course, he varies the menu constantly. Not surprisingly, our residents love his food.
- Do I have to take all three meals?
No you do not. You always have a choice.
- What if I have special dietary needs?
No problem. We have a licensed dietitian on staff and she can help accommodate all your needs.
- How much is your entrance fee?
Unlike other communities with similar services, there are NO entrance fees at Fredericka Manor.
- Can I bring my dog?
Yes. We welcome dogs in our garden homes and cottages. Fredericka Manor also has an on-campus dog park for residents and their pets to use.
- What is included in my monthly fee?
Among the services your monthly fee covers are bi-weekly housekeeping, social and recreational activities, all utilities, indoor and outdoor maintenance and scheduled transportation. We have many more services to tell you about when you come in for a visit.
